Selected Earlier Contributions
Early contract work on Taxi Boss and The Drive, where modeling made my contribution easier to see than code did.

The context
Where I entered the project
Taxi Boss and The Drive came early in my development career. Programming was already my main interest, but visual work was easier for teams to evaluate, so I was brought in primarily as a modeler. I had to learn unfamiliar production tools and fit work into games that already had their own style and pipeline.
01 / Pressure
What made it difficult
I was learning new tools inside active projects, while also trying to prove technical ability that was much harder to display in a portfolio than a finished 3D asset.
02 / Decisions
What I actually did
I focused on useful, optimized models and adapted to each team’s existing workflow. The experience taught me how to contribute without needing to reshape the whole production around my preferences.
03 / Afterward
What happened next
Taxi Boss was around 7–8,000 concurrent players during my time there. I left when revenue pressure made supporting two modelers difficult. The team later invited me back as the game grew to around 15,000 concurrent players, but I chose to keep my attention on XOX.
The work behind the story
Areas I owned or contributed to
- Developing modular client-side script structures
- Modeling optimized environmental assets and props in Blender
- Tuning visual effects and lighting layouts
- Fixing UI replication bugs and interface latency
